Discrimination or solution?

Microsoft just got a patent approved for avoiding "unsafe areas" when navigating with your satnav. Basically, you'll have the option to enable feature "Avoid" not only for toll roads now. This will lead to longer routes, but will save you from panic attack when you get a flat tyre in "unfriendly" neighborhood. But what if your business happens to be located in that area? Will the satnav advise to avoid it? Or if your house address goes into the blacklist? Satnav won't find the way back home? Do you think this is good or bad idea?
